OFFERINGS
Minchah = a gift, tribute, offering
Prospheró = I bring to, I offer , gifts, sacrifices,
Numbers 28:1/6 = Offering for God / offering was ordain in Mount Sinai
Numbers 28:6 = an offering is a sweet savour (especially a pleasant smell) and a sacrifice to the Lord
Exodus 34:20 = we must not appear before God empty handed.
Psalm 96:8-9 = We should bring an offering to him in the church
Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering, and come into his courts! Worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth
Malachi 3:8 = God consider us thieve if we do not give offerings
Mark 12:41 = Jesus observed how people were giving offering
AN OFFERING IS NOT AUTOMATICAL ACCEPTABLE BY GOD
Amos 5:22 = God rejects offerings.
Malachi 2:13 = God does not automatic accepts our offerings. (NIV)
Genesis 4:3-5 = our offerings are not automatically accepted by God. (Cain and Able)
Jeremiah 6:20 = their offerings and sacrifice are not acceptable to God.
WHAT MAKES AN OFFERING NOT ACCEPTABLE TO GOD
Leviticus 22:18-21 = an offering is only acceptable by God if it is without defects.
Deuteronomy 17:1 = we must not sacrifice anything blemish to the lord.
Malachi 1:14 = God does not accepts what we don’t want, he is a great king
Isaiah 66:2-3 = if we choose our own ways instead of Gods, our offering becomes waste.
WHAT MAKES AN OFFERING ACCEPTABLE TO GOD
Leviticus 17:1-3 = there is an acceptable place for we to take our offerings.
Leviticus 17:8-9 = Offering is made to God n his house.
Deuteronomy 12:5-6/11 = We have to take our offerings to church
We have to take our tithes to church
Deuteronomy 12:13-14 = we must be careful we do not have our offerings anywhere.
Leviticus 22:18-19 = An offering must be free will.
Deuteronomy 16:17 = everyman shall give as he is able, according to the blessing that God has bless him.
2 Corinthians 8:12 = For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.
Mark 12:41-44 = to God who gives more is the one who give out of his poverty or all she has and not out of his surplus.
Matthew 5:23-24 = Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
THE EVIL EFFECTS OF GIVING BAD OFFERINGS.
Malachi 3:8-9 = Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation
Malachi 1:6- 10/13-14 = when we give God bad offering we dishonour Him, and it will cause God not to receive us kindly

Proverbs 3:9-10 = we should honour the lord with our wealth by our first fruit and we will have plenty and excess
1 samuel 2:17 /13-16 = the sins of the priest were very great because they dispised the offering of the lord.
1 samuel 2:29 = they kick at the offerings and sacrifices of God and by that they honor themselves above God.
THE GOOD EFFECTS OF GIVING GOOD OFFERINGS.
Malachi 1:6- 10/13-14 = when we give God bad offering we dishonour Him, and it will cause God not to receive us kindly

Proverbs 3:9-10 = we should honor the lord with our wealth by our first fruit and we will have plenty and excess
Isaiah 29;13 = we honor God with our substance not our mouth
because they come to God with their mouth and honor Him with their lips but their heart are far from Him and their worship are rules taught by men He will astound them.
Malachi 3:7- 12 = tithe and offerings is a way you return from backsliding to God.(faithfulness)
We will be bless for that
It also provides for the needs of His church

Luke 6:38 = you will receive from the lord by the same standard you give to Him.

Acts 20:35 = there is a blessing in giving.

Matthew 6:19-21 = Offering shows where our hearts is and by that we are also saving in heaven.
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also
1 Timothy 6:17-19
17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

NOTE:
2 corinthians 8:20 = we must take precaution so that no one discredit us in the administration of the offerings.
Micah 4:13 = we may pulverize many people and devote to the lord their unjust gain and their wealth to the lord.
Deuteronomy 23:18 = we must not bring any votive offerings to God because it is an abomination to God.
Leviticus 26:16 = if we do not obey the word of God we sow our seed uselessly.
Leviticus 1:2-3/10 = our offerrings must come from our heards or flock (earnings)
It must be without defect so that it may be acceptable before God.
